Elementary Program

The Elementary program at SMA -- Kindergarten through Grade 5 --nurtures your learner in a safe and caring environment so he or she can grow intellectually and thrive spiritually.

Our faculty knows and cares about each and every student, and our students know and care about each other.  Students in our elementary grades spend most of their day with their primary grade teacher. There, they will receive instruction in our core subjects: Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Religion, and Social Studies.

 

Students also benefit from creative and innovative instruction in: the Fine Arts, including Music and Visual Art; Library; Spanish; and Physical Education.  

The curriculum at SMA is aligned with NYS Standards, as well as those of the Diocese of Albany.
